Theatre Room for 2007 Super Bowl
The Fallon team truly pulled together on this project to make it happen on time and at the quality level our clients expect—coordinating subcontractors, collaborating with designers, and making quick, well-informed decisions. In the final analysis, we completed the project on time and are proud to share the details of the journey here.
This particular client came to Fallon during the fall of 2006, and asked us to design and install a 500-square-foot, state-of-the art home theater suite. The challenge for us: to complete the project in time for the 2007 Super Bowl! We tackled it head-on and transformed this basement into an entertainment haven.
One underlying goal was to create a sense of continuity within the floor plan, which includes the theater room, kitchen area with wet bar, powder room, and hallway. To achieve this, our custom shop created mahogany cabinetry and columns throughout the rooms.
The theater room includes many cutting-edge details, such as fiber optic stars on the ceiling, eight motorized leather seats mounted on a platform, a Creston control system, a ceiling-mounted projector, and a 110” widescreen with high definition and screen masking for optimum viewing.
A custom made mahogany bar and stools provide additional seating for socializing. This area was outfitted with cabinetry, granite countertops, a beverage refrigerator and a theater-size popcorn machine.
Our client lived in the home throughout the construction process and the holiday season, thereby necessitating that we completed this project in a tidy, peaceful and organized manner. This proved to be a challenging process at times, but in the end we met our goals and provided our client with a truly unique entertainment area…just in time for the big football game!
